Soon your palms can be set as your password for iPad

Good news for iPad users, soon you can set your palms as your password for your iPad. A doctoral student, Napa Sae-Bae at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, is working hard to build an app which consisting of multitouch sensors will biometrically authenticate tablet users.

This app will recognize their users specific biological traits such as their hand shape and finger length and those unique characters which do not change. This app will totally replace passwords and hence the risk of password being cracked will also go down.

She said that, in an experiment with 34 people, she has achieved 90 percent accuracy rate in authenticating the hand movements made by each participant.
