Acer Aspire V3: Review

This is one of he glossiest laptops we have seen in a long time, and trust us when we say this, because we have seen a lot of glossy laptops. The piano black finish looks brilliant the moment the Aspire V3 is fished out of the box. The touchpad has a matte finish, which is a huge relief.

On paper, the Aspire V3 looks like a very powerful package. the spec sheet reads something like this - Intel Core i5-2450M clocking at 2.5GHz, 4Gb of RAM, a 500GB hard drive, Nvidia GeForce GT630M (2GB) graphics and 15.6-inch display. USB 3.0 comes natively to the new 7 - series chipsets, and among the 3 USB ports on the device, one of them is the 3.0 one.

For a price of around Rs 40,000, the Acer Aspire V3's very good performance just get a bit amplified, for the better. What you are essentially getting is a powerhouse with very decent graphics capabilities without having to spend a lot of money for it.

Intex i-Tab Review

Adding another tablet to the budget category, today we have the Intex i-Tab that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and boasts of some decent specifications under the hood.

The first thing that will surprise you is the look of the Intex i-Tab. Most budget tablets have opted to have a 7-inch display, but the Intex i-Tab has an 8-inch display and that's not all. The device is made entirely out of plastic but the build doesn't feel cheap. The back of the Intex i-Tab is plastic but has a mattle finish which feels quite good.

Straight out of the box, the device runs on Android 2.3.1 Gingerbread. The Intex i-Tab is powered by a 1GHz single core Cortex A8 CPU and has 1GB RAM, which is nice. It offers 8GB internal storage where as the competition offers 4GB. The touchscreen is capacitive in nature and very comfortable to use. The touchscreen is smooth and responsive.

The battery on the Intex i-Tab is pretty massive at 5000 mAh. With this device you can expect to surpass the 6-hour mark with absolute ease. If you are in the market to pick up a tablet in the Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 price bracket, then this one is a great option.

Bank theft software now improved and more sophisticated

Two of the most pervasive and dangerous types of software for stealing money from bank accounts have been improved and can now transfer money out automatically, without a hacker's supervision, researchers said.

Trend Micro Vice President Tom Kellerman told Reuters that his company's researchers had seen the new attacks on a dozen financial institutions in Germany. United Kingdom and Italy. That is troubling because European banks generally have greater technology defences than those in the United States, and Kellerman said it is 'inevitable' that the variants will cross the Atlantic.

Like other security companies, Trend Micro profits by selling software and services to institutions and consumers worried about online spying and account takeovers.

Browse like Bond: Use anyone's PC without leaving any trace

There are times when people need to use a computer - and not leave a trace.

Now, a clever piece of software lets one carry their own personal computer, which can easily be carried inside the pocket - and once the person has finished using it, no one will ever know.

Technically, the PC that people would be carrying is not a whole computer - instead it is a simple USB memory stick. Bit within it is a full operating system like Windows, and when you plug it into a PC, that computer will restart into your own personal setup, called Tails.

When you have finished simply shut down the computer, put the USB stick back in the pocket, and the PC will never know that it has been used. As everything the user odes is contained within Tails, the software on a stick, not a single trace is left on the original PC. That means no cookies of the website browsed, no chance of documents being left in a recycle bin.

Sniper Elite V2 is the remake of 2005 third person tactical shooter Sniper Elite. The game is set during the final days of WW2. You play as a lone American sniper named Karl Fairburne and you have been given the task to eliminate or to capture the scientists involved in the German V-2 rocket programme before the vital information is intercepted by the Russians. The story is explained by voice-overs and well directed cut scenes and the level design is solid.

The game is about 10 hours long and its even more fun if you are playing co-operatively with a friend in the main campaign. There are other multiplayer options worth checking out. Kill Tally is one of them whee you take on waves of enemies and there is one called  Bombing Run where you have to gather parts to reconstruct your escaping vehicle before everything around you is destroyed. The final and the best is Overwatch where one player gets to the sniping from far away elevated position. Unable to move and the second player is on the ground running completing objectives and pointing out enemies for the sniper.

Review of Chromebook Series 5

Operating system from Google's Chrome is considered as an immense idea: if it is such that everything important are done in cloud, why haven't light weight devices that offer cheap, simple access to numerous computing ability but do not trouble their clients with superfluous features except they purposely desire them. The web, as well, means that OS can continually update itself in order to have equilibrium with the most recent version, just now as like as Chrome or similar to web browsers like internet explorer do.

And certainly the latest Chromebook in meticulous is fine and an adequate machine - it pertains the redesigned OS keyboard from Chrome, along with the search button substituting the caps lock button, but employing a finer, although yet plasticky device. Screen again is excellent enough, and there are good varieties of ports in order to connect other various devices as  well, such as the monitors and different peripherals.
